For some odd reason the chargers that came with our iPhones aren't getting the job done. I plug it in and the phone indicates it's charging (green battery icon). But the charge level doesn't increase.
Is this possible? Why would it look like it's charging without actually doing so?

Weird. I've never seen that problem before. Maybe it's a software glitch? Are your iPhones running on iOS 10.2 or its beta? I've read that those are problematic (I've yet to update my iPhone 6s to it as a result).

Never happened to me before. It might be a bug, have you tried using other cables?

10.2, and I have an aftermarket iPhone specific charger that works.

That's happened to me before. A hard reset seemed to fix it. I don't recall if I did anything else. I may also have swiped a few known battery users out of multitasking first.

Does it decrease when you're using it? Is the battery actually charging but doesn't show it? It's never happened to me but like Ledstepelin said I'd go for the reset.

Try Anker brand Lightning Cable, & wall, & or Car outlets
They're inexpensive; ( Amazon), charge QUICKLY, & are Apple certified

I think the fault lies in those cheap little chargers that come with iPhones. Neither of them is working properly. Other charge adapters are working, as well as the car charger.

I've never had any issues with any of my Apple chargers. They're not so cheap either.
