I guess I found something my Iphone won't do. I assumed being an apple product that it would have a fairly robust bluetooth capability, at least as good as Android.

    NOT.

I wanted to hook up to my ELM327 OBDII bluetooth device to monitor my car and any faults. It refuses to even see the ELM327
I used to hook up to it flawlessly with my Android phone and tablet, until I traded the phone for my present 6+, and my tablet went belly up.

After doing a lot of research and reading on the "net", it seems that apple decided, for whatever reason, that they didn't need enough bluetooth capability in their stuff to allow hooking up to such devices. They're more concerned about audio or video based bluetooth protocals and left everything else out.

Now I have to spend the extra money to by an Android tablet to get my OBDII monitoring capability back.

    Thanks for letting me rant!
