Email backup

How do I backup my emails? I don't see a way to do it in iTunes. And don't see a way to do it in iCloud or Verizon cloud.

There's no need to back up emails. You have an email account. The emails are not going anywhere. You just sign in to your account. So if you get a new phone, you just go to Settings > Mail, Contacts and Calendar > add account > choose which you use (like Google) > enter your email info.
Once you set it up, your emails will be there. You can also access your emails by logging in to your email account online.

That's the problem. All of a sudden two days ago all my emails disappeared. All! Went to my account and they were all gone there also.

Then it wouldn't have anything to do with the Mail app then. It's an account issue.

Yes I understand all that. They of no help. Hence my original question. How can I back it up in case they do this to me again.

I don't know what happened. Check with your email provider. You sure you didn't delete them?
