Why does my yahoo mail freezes when I check mail

Every time I check my mail on my iPhone 6 Plus it will freeze

how do you check your email? is it the native app? I am having no issues when using the yahoo app or the MS Outlook app?

No issues with Yahoo freezing via the stock mail app or the yahoo app. However, for other reasons, I am not a fan of the Yahoo mail app.
