no sound for text messages or music on iphone 6+ after installing skype on my laptop

I have an iPhone 6+ latest 9.2.1 installed. I just installed Skype on my laptop and now I have no sound for music or text messages or keyboard sounds on my phone. is this a coincidence??? I have checked every setting, turned my phone on and off a million times and the mute is also off. Im trying to avoid resetting my phone to factory settings. HELP!

Go to settings → General → reset, and then select "Reset All Settings". As for it being a coincidence, I suppose. Skype has been installed on my laptop for quite some time and yet, it doesn't have any effect on my iPhone or any other device I own.

Yup thats a new one. Installing Skype on a computer shouldnt affect the iPhone.
