Sending and Receiving Group Texts

My problem--
Group texts to mixed recipients, iPhone and Android, don't reach all recipients. On some devices, replies create a new thread. We have rebooted and restored to factory settings and am still having issues. When I am in a thread, whether I have initiated the text or not, I can only see some responses. I have an iPhone 6 plus.

Any insight is much appreciated!

Make sure that both SMS and Group Messaging is enabled on your iPhone in the Messages settings.

Delete all the threads involved. Then go to Settings >Messages > Toggle off iMessage.
Then toggle it back on. Get added back to the group.

Everyone really needs to delete all the old threads and start over.
