"New Message" text

So this morning on my 6 Plus and my wife's 6, when in a group message, and someone texts, we are receiving the verbiage "New Message" before the contents of a persons text. What is this? Have anyone experienced this?

For example it will look like this:

New Message
Hey guys!

 

[Derek Padgett]

notice this on mine this morning.... not sure how to get rid of it.

Does this happen on everyone's text message, or just one person? It looks like someone is using the "Show subject field" option. I'm in a group iMessage but have not seen this.
