Auto brightness not working and ApplePay issue

My wife has a 6 plus and she has not had auto brightness work now for a couple updates. It is blasting bright in a dark room. No case or anything covering the ambient light sensor.

Also, she has said a couple times when waking her phone ApplePay is popping up saying "pay with ApplePay?" And shows her bank card. This has happened different places one of which being the bedroom. We have no other nfc device in the room, so that to me ruled out a strange misfire.

Any help would be great.

install the iOS 9.0.1 update that came out a couple hours ago...

I guess we can try that. Don't know if that will help auto brightness seeing as this has been happening since before ios9.

Think the update may have stifled the ApplePay issue. But not auto brightness.

Apple Pay now has a setting that opens when you double tap the home button from the lock screen. You can change it in Touch ID setting.

My auto bright quite working also, but I just went in and turned it off and right back on and it worked immediately.

^this...Apple Pay isn't an issue. It's a feature baked into iOS 9

Tried that a few times with hers as well as a settings reset. Still not working.

I showed her that and she insisted that it has happened when waking the phone from power button. So told her to pay attention next time to see for sure.
