it's still the same when i pull down for spotlight search. I fixed the other time by rebooting yes i understand the first time but srsly happening again? Annoying for a new phone! Haven't dropped this yet or anything damaging at all Ip6+ 64gb space gray

If the issue is easily replicated, take it to an Apple GeniusBar - show them. They'll take care of you should it be determined there's something wrong.

Could be 1 of a thousand things. You could try a full restore to see if it remedies the issue, or simply schedule a genius bar appointment to get a replacement since it's under warranty.

I've never personally seen anything like that myself so I really couldn't even begin to tell you what's causing it...given the scenarios which you described though, I'm going to guess it is related to translucency when using the sub menus or screens, where you're probably only getting a portion of the layers that are supposed to replicate the fogged glass look over the home screen.

It happened to me right now!!! Just restart the phone and it should work fine, in my case it works now

Looks like the new grayscale feature run amuck. I saw this very problem on another forum.

This happened to me on my 5C once or twice, but it doesn't seem serious. It never happened to me again though

Go to settings ? general - accessibility. You'll see this grayscale button. Turn it off, or on if that's what you like...
