My iPhone 6 plus was due for delivery between 17-24 Nov I phoned my nearest Apple Store up 1st Nov they told me the model I was looking for was out of stock in the uk but give me a website to check daily that reveals what's available at what stores because they get deliveries daily. By November 4th I had my Gold 64gb iPhone 6 plus reserved & collected from my nearest store. Apple online was still showing 3-4 weeks delivery time.

I ordered up my 6 plus from O2 online in the UK a few weeks ago and got it the very next day. Was surprised because the IPad Air I ordered from them a month earlier took 4 weeks to arrive.

You're better off just checking Apple.com and seeing if the device you want is available for pickup at an Apple Store near you.

When I saw this thread I went to Apple.com just to check a 6 Plus in Space Gray unlocked 64GB and about 7 stores had it available. That's your best bet.

This week Target by me had the 6 plus but only in 16 gb. They had the 6 in 128gb and 16 gb. No 64gb. Ironically the day my 64gb 6 plus arrived, best buy had a few in stock. I asked when I bought my case and the girl said they move within a day or two at most.

Me and my sister ordered an iPhone 6 (16GB) from AT&T on Nov. 20th and got it on Nov. 26th...I asked if they had both in stock and they said yes, both were readily available.

I walked into a corporate store this afternoon & picked up what I wanted (16 GB Space Gray).

I was in & out in about 30 minutes (including downloading iCloud backup).

I think it has to do with the size.

Most places in Manhattan have the 16gb models, but NO ONE has a 64 or bigger version handy.

I waited 7 weeks for the phone I ordered for my brother. 64gb space gray.

It definitely seems like the 16gb phones are available in both the regular and the plus. It's a little harder to find the 64 & 128 but they can be found if you look around a little. Check your Best Buy and Target stores. At least that seems to be the case by me.

If you could pick it up by yourself, it would be better but if you have all the time in the world to wait for the delivery, so be it.

I used istocknow.com. Looked at it one morning and saw the size I wanted was in stock at the Apple Store by my job. Ordered it online for store pickup and went to get it on my lunch break

I've walked into the Apple Store on three different occasions and walked out with a 6 plus. I just use the Apple Store app to check stock. Hopefully I hold onto this one and don't revert back to android lol.

I remember doing this a few weeks after the iPhone 4 launched. First time I went to my local O2 shop they only had 64GB so got a 6 plus in 64GB. A week later I was able to swap it for a 128GB, which was what I initially wanted. It was the only one they had in stock in the whole of London.

You can't get a 128GB 6 Plus in any of the Carrier stores they don't stock them claiming low demand. AT&T is still 3-4 weeks while Apple is now 7-10 days, guess who is getting my new order in January not AT&T.
