Ordered 10/10, assigned ship date: 10/31, now reassigned 11/21

I placed an order through Verizon on 10/10 for a Space Grey 128gb. Email confirms estimated ship date of 10/31. Today I receive email that new shipment date will be 11/21. I went to the Verizon web site as if I wanted to place a new order and get assigned 11/21. So apparently you get bumped into the current order pool and not the next shipment when they can't fill orders.

I ordered around 9/22 and was originally told it would be November. Was pleasantly surprised when I got tracking info on the 25th and iPhone 6+ in my hands on the 28th. I wouldnt be surprised if you got it sooner than 11/21.

Next time you pre-order/order...do it directly through Apple instead of the carrier. It'll save you a whole bunch of heartache. Hopefully next year people will take the advice seriously, and we'll probably avoid about 90% of these threads which will be good for everyone.

Apple will sell them with contract extension or new contract, but would not let me order one at full retail if I wanted a Verizon model phone.

Then go to a store to do it...unfortunately the Verizon model is the only one, for some reason, they won't sell outright on the website (and my guess is that the carrier had a nice big hand in that).

I ordered mine on 10/11, and got the same email today. I am going to Apple on Sunday to see if they have one, and if I can purchase using the Edge plan.
