I've noticed from my own usage and from others as well that the #1 battery drainer seems to be safari, even more-so than games, which surprises me. I'm averaging between 9.5-10.5 hours of usage with 45% of that being safari. If I could control myself and not use safari I'm sure I could get over 11 hours

I use Chrome. Doesn't seem to kill the battery too much

Disclaimer: i have had the phone on and off the charger since last full charge.

Wondering if some of the 'amazing' data from some above more the 9-11 hours of use 24+ since full charge may be supplementing the charge throughout the day and not remembering it.

I also wonder if anyone will see this screenshot and not read this disclaimer and wonder how they can get such good battery life.

well it says right there on the screen. "iPhone has been plugged in since last full charge"..... its not stuck and can someone explain how it gets stuck?

Yes. I mentioned that i had plugged in.

What i don't get is that most can get 9-11, but a few a but more but some are getting 16 hours. This is just too high considering we are using the same hardware. Something besides app usage is different. I created phone as new, no restore and this is after a few days from setup so i don't think its that. I run screen between 25-40% bright. Very good at turning screen off when not in use. Good WiFi most of the time. No BT recently. Email on 30 min.

Some examples from above that do not have plugged in message:

Use 7 h 48 m
Sta 9 h 45 m
47% remaining

8 h 30 m
17 h 0 m
51% remaining

16 h 39 m
48 h 18 m
1 % remaining

Super curious what could be the diff.

It would be nice if they showed battery usage of all services running.

I can see what is running but not battery drain. I may turn location off tomorrow to compare.

I got 9 hours on my 6 once or twice. And another time I barely got 7 and that was mostly bc of signal

Nice to have a phone that last all day. Not sure how accurate it is. I was in YouTube a lot today and not best the top.

I think 9 hrs is really good. Would love to get 11. Seems possible. 16 seems out of the question.

Very very nice ! As I suspected, minimal Safari use as well. That seems to be the culprit behind any bad battery life. I'm able to get to about 10-10.5 hours on 2-3 bar signal and 30-40% Safari use

I disabled the icloud safari sync but I'm not sure if that helped things. I'm trying to give safari a chance over chrome

My last charge cycle. Got almost another hour of usage before putting it on the charger.

Keep in mind, those getting 16 hours of usage are more than likely listening to music with the screen off. That still counts for usage. Currently right now I am at 86% with 2 hours and 46 minutes of usage. Over an hour of that was while streaming a podcast over Bluetooth and using the GPS app with runkeeper, all with the screen off.
