Why is voLTE not working on iPhone5S anymore?

I am a Beta Profile user of iPhone 5S and using iOS10.3 right now.
Used Sim of Jio4G in India in Aug 16 for few days on my phone and then voLTE worked very well.
But now i am using again this Jio4G in March after so many Beta updates in iPhone, its not working.
I can only use LTE and a dedicated app to make or receive calls and text messages.

After visiting various apple forums, i came to know Apple dropped voLTE support on upto 5s phones??

IS it true?
or it's just a update glitch?

Do you have the option for voLTE in your Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options? On my 6s I have "Enable LTE" turned on for "Voice & Data".

What does yours say?

I doubt Apple dropped anything. You might check with your carrier though. If you have used voLTE before, the hardware should be there. The rest is up to your carrier.

If you are running beta, there could be a problem such as the ios 8 situation.

The iPhone 5S is not a VoLTE capable phone. The iPhone 6 and forward are VoLTE capable.

I saw where OP mentioned it worked before, which threw me off. Maybe it did, and was updated recently, but I think it was officially supported with the SE.

That had me thrown off as well. Even though capable, Apple has a history of not adding new functions to old hardware.

Thinking back, I believe Apple said something about battery life, something to that affect, that battery life was severely affected.

Depends on your phone and your carrier. You might check with your carrier.

Most likely no. Apple probably would not include any support with iOS for the iPhone 5S.

I never had a 5s, but the thread came up on the "Unread" list in TapaTalk. That's how I got here. LOL
