Notification re: Photos App being cancelled or something? Anyone?

Hi folks...I have an iPhone 5s by the way.

I received a notification onscreen regarding the Photos app (the one that comes with the iPhone). It stated that in 7 days (would be 7/16/2016) the app would be closing out and deleting anything remaining. I can't seem to find any information on this.

Anyone have any ideas?

That sounds like a carrier thing. Verizon did that for a while with a photos album thing they used to have. I used to get those notices every month or so. Said the same thing as you described. Have you uploaded any photos to any service? Could have been back during the flip phone days.

I would ignore it. The photos app on the iPhone isn't going anywhere, and neither are your photos.
