iPhone 5s Broken Logic Board

I have a logic board where a small piece snapped off which I've reattached with superglue (see images).

Also, in the back casing of the phone, a black strip also broke (like part of an S shape) which I've been attempting to superglue but having difficulty (see images).

I'm not very technical so I'm wondering if these superglue repairs were a good idea or not. I don't know what function the broken pieces have and I'm not sure if the glue will contaminate etc.

Also, the phone is water damaged and I'm following a tutorial which advises to submerge the logic board in Isopropyl Alcohol. If I did this, would it be best to avoid contact between the alcohol and superglue as this would remove it?

Do you reckon the combination of these damages and the water damage amounts to giving up on the attempt of repair?/any other suggestions?

Welcome to iMore!

Looking at the images of the phone, it seems the water damage was quite extensive. My suggestion is to give up. Any further time you invest in trying to fix it will be wasted time. From the looks of the money you will have to put into it as well, not worth it. Consider it DOA and move on.
