Why does my new iPhone 5s screen show lines on it?

why does my new iphone 5s screen show lines on it

we diy replaced my iphone 5s screen with a kit an everything but when we turned the phone back on the screen was discolored with lines going down the screen. Could this mean we got a faulty screen ??

Sorry you're having issues with your screen. I would think either a faulty screen or not entirely connected. I'd open it back up and make sure everything is tight, and if so, contact the folks you got the screen from (and send a picture if possible)
