Why doesn't my playlist on my 5s shuffle?

why my playlist on my 5s won't shuffle

put 1906 songs on my phone which I bought so I could have my music on it and all it does is repeat the same song. I carry it with me at work and want to listen to my music how do I get it to shuffle????

Check to make sure you have the *Repeat* off and turn on the shuffle instead which is a distinct icon. Two arrows crisscrossed each other.
