Why can't I get a signal on my iPhone 5s?

why can i get no signal on my iphone5s

I am having to use tu go all the time and now when people are ringing me it rings on there phone and then goes to the answering service but it doesn't even ring on my phone

could be many things- is your ringer on? Are you somehow in airplane mode and are not getting a signal- is the only issue phone calls? Can you surf the web and or get mail? Did you carrier turn off your service...
