How to fix charging issue in iphone 5 S

My name is Peter humberd Corvallis. My iphone 5S stopped showing battery percentage going up when charging. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I never attempt to force restart. Whenever I need to switch off my phone, I switched it off in the same way like you mentioned. I think there may be some different problem.

Can give us a little more information when you see this? For example, are you putting the phone on charge, turning off the screen, and then checking periodically? Do you see the lightning bolt that indicates the phone is connected to power. Do you let the phone go down to 10-20% or lower periodically so that the battery is "exercised"? Most people agree that it's best not to always try to maintain a 100%, for example.

Please check in Settings -> General -> Battery Percentage. Make sure it was turn on.
