Why am i unable to connect my iPhone 5s to the internet?

i am having troubleconnecting to the internet with my iphone 5s

i try clicking on some of my icons and its telling me that i am not connected to the internet

Not on Wifi? Is using cellular data not enabled for those apps you're trying to use?
