Sticky volume button

So on an excursion to get something to eat, my SO spilled coke on her phone. Didn't damage the phone, but the volume buttons and vibrate switch are sticky and hard to manipulate. Minus disassembly, any ideas on how to clean it?

It happened to my tv remote and I used rubbing alcohol which helped a little

My daughter did the same thing with lemonade and had the same problem. I just used a q-tip and rubbing alcohol and cleaned it real well while moving the buttons and blowing to dry the alcohol. Did the a couple days in a row and good as new.

Excellent...thanks for the ideas guys. I am capable of disassembling the phone, just don't want to. Rubbing alcohol will be used.
