I searched my question, but either I worded it wrong or it does not exist in this forum  Does Apple lower the prices of their current phone lineup when a new release hits the stores? I know Samsung, HTC, etc do when a replacement comes out.

Just want to make sure I do not pull the trigger on the 5s to fast.

Thanks for your time

Yes, they do. In fact, you can currently find good deals on both the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S.

When the new phone is released, and if apple does what they normally do, then the 6 should be 199, the 5s 99, and the 5c free...all would be a new contract pricing.

When the 5s came out, it sold for 199, with the 5c taking the place of the older 5 model at 99, and the 4s free.

The 16g 5s can be found for $99, and the 5c for free right now. I search around at least twice a week for changes, but I will wait for the 6 to be released. Still, waiting sucks, lol...
