So with my Moto X, and the X/G/E line there is a app from Motorola called Motorola Alert. There is a service that automatically text a selected person when your leave a place, and much more ofcourse.

Is there anything similiar on the iPhone?

First off, Welcome to iMore!!!

I don't use services like this but the only app I'm aware of is Find My Friends. I'm not sure how robust it is but I believe you can set up alerts.

Have you heard of IFTTT? Maybe you could give it a try, and cook up your own recipe that does exactly what you want it do.

Not entirely sure if this is what you want though, just giving a suggestion.
