Got a new iPhone 5s gold version

Hi Everyone,
This is my first post on this forum and the reason being I bought a new iPhone 5s 16 GB gold version. It has been 2 days and I love just looking at it. I had been an user of iPod touch (4g) for some years and it feels so good to have this iPhone in my hand.
The reason I joined this forum is to learn more from you guys who must be having rich experience with this gadget. I have not installed much apps so far but it would be nice if you guys give some recommendations.

Thank you all for your warm greetings.
I have a question on charging my iPhone. I got this from the US and using it in India, the charger is of US type which came along the box. I don't want to risk using this charger with a converter, basically afraid if the converter fails and something happens
When I enquired in the local Apple retail store here, they have the Indian type charger but it's way too costly, when I went to an other store they recommend 'CADBASE' which they say is compatible to all apple products, it is 50% cost of the Apple charger.
What do you guys say? I can go with CADBASE or spend it on the Apple brand? Charging through my laptop takes a long long time

As long as the output is 5v and 1A, that converter are good to go..

this is correct! on your power adaptor it tells you what it can and cannot handle
