photos don't fill the screen, normal?

Pictures I take with my 5s do not fill the screen, is this normal?When I double tap, it zooms all the way in; I know thats normal. Any advice? I'm used to my 4s that didn't have this issue, and I imagine the screens being a different size and resolution may have something to do with it

I remember watching a YouTube video somewhere about this and that seems to be a ios 7 thing. I don't believe that the 5 had the same problem on ios6
