    OP. It's perfectly normal and a characteristic of LG's IPS LCD displays. It's more evident on certain colours and wallpapers that are more solid in colour. Also there is no point in comparing your 5s to those other iDevices you have listed as they don't use an IPS display but rather a TN Film display. They would show this characteristic even more. You could compare the iPhone 5s to say an iPhone 4 and see how they have improved the screen since then.

    If you have a look at your phone in landscape you will not notice any contrast and colour sift at all.
