About that 'October' shipping date...

I just ordered a 16gb Space Gray iPhone 5s the other day through Apple (unlocked, T-Mobile). What is everyones' take on that 'October' shipping estimate?
I haven't owned an iPhone since the 4s about 2 years ago.. should I expect mid-October? Early-October?

I'm always one to have two phones, so I just sold my HTC One and Nexus 4, then picked up a LG G2 (which is pretty damn awesome). Looking forward to having an iPhone once again, and being able to jump back and forth between both platforms will be nice.

Once the item is shipped, it will arrive fairly quickly.

I wish I knew the answer. I ordered on the day they were released and mine says "October" .... I've been checking it constantly with no change .... sigh ...

I ordered mines early Saturday morning (around 2a, ship date was 10-1through 10-7). I received it on 9/24.
