The Apple built in app for Health works great for my friend with an iPhone 6, but myself and another buddy of mine who also still uses an iPhone 5C, we cannot find it under "Cellular" to activate it on our 5C's.

Why would Apple allow us to have the health app (that tracks how many steps and distance you travel each day) and not be able to turn it on?

Is it not functional on the 5C????

Did you attempt to use the actual Health app first?

Yup we all looked at it today at coffee. Couldn't find the settings if there are any. That's why I'm asking

Unlike the iPhone 5s, the iPhone 5 and 5c don't have motion co-processor build in.

You will have to use a fitness tracker to track your steps.

That is because the Pokmon Go app uses the accelerometer and GPS of the 5C to track your steps and distance. There are many apps that work with Health Kit to do the same thing on the iPhone 5C and your results are stored in Health Kit. You don't need a motion coprocessor to do that, but if you want the other features and accuracy of the motion coprocessor, you will need to upgrade to a iPhone 5S or greater.
