Why won't my iPhone 5c flip the screen when I try to read anything?

My iphone 5c won't flip the screen when I try to read anything

When trying to get the screen to flip over to the landscape view, nothing happens. Is there something I can do to make it work?

At the top of your screen do you have a lock inside a circle icon up?? If so this stops the screen from switching between landscape and portrait... swipe from the bottom of the screen to enter control centre and you will be able to turn it off in there
