Something I never could do on my BlackBerry.

Another thing I just discovered:

I don't have home internet. I have a laptop and printer though.

I bought a Peter Pan bus ticket and it was emailed to me. I used my iPhones hotspot to connect to my printer and printed right from the phone!

I was really impressed with how fast and easy. I tried doing that with my BlackBerry a year or so ago and could never get it to work!

Connectivity and ease of use are definitely HUGE benefits to using an iOS device.

Not really, you need AirPrint printers to do that...which I don't have.

This thread isn't about you champ. Nobody cares if you don't have an AirPrint printer, no matter how many threads you post it in.

This thread is about things you can't do with your blackberry. The little things really annoy me on iOS, this is one of them. With my bb at least I could print without buying a special printer.

I will admit my insurance company didn't have a bb app and the iOS app is cool.

And you can do this with BlackBerry? So your printer supports BlackBerry software and not Apple? That's cool.

Every phone should have this feature it's really handy! I used to have to use my hotspot and get the laptop out. So glad I can bypass it now!

I guess I see your point. But your printer must be really old. And they're so cheap that I don't understand just picking up a printer for 35-99 bucks. I mean, if mobile printing is important to you anyway.

The BlackBerry still needs an app. Print to Go sucked in OS7. It doesn't seem to be fairing well on BlackBerry 10 either.

Print To Go - BlackBerry World

Just seems like a no brainer to upgrade your printer if you want the latest technology. I got my printer at Best Buy for 45. I didn't know it even had AirPrint to be honest. I had a BlackBerry.

No there was an app for that, but at least I didn't have to buy hardware.

It kinda makes sense. Outdated printer, outdated phone! ;)

But now I don't have outdated printers but still no AirPrint. Only a $900 phone that IMO runs on a slightly dated OS. Oh well.

I bought the phone outright from verizon to keep unlimited data and not go on a contract. Seems like unlocked verizon phones keep their value if I decide to jump ship.

Ouch. $900 for a BB? Ouch. Buying a new 5c outright after I drowned the one I had was only about $550. I could think of better things to spend a grand on than a BB but whatever floats your battleship.

I paid retail for the 64 gig model. A few years ago I couldn't fathom spending over $200 for a phone. $550 is still steep.

Everything listed here you could do on a BlackBerry, Android device, heck probably even Windows Mobile.
Operating systems having gotten to the point that any tasks on one OS can be done on another either natively or with an application.
