Would you buy a 5 or a 5c?

Just wondering, if there is no 5c and the 5 is still selling as the $100 cheaper model, would you 5c owners have bought the cheaper 5? Or would you have gone for the 5s?

I think some folks ARE doing that and are getting used 5(s) on the after market. :)

Re: 5c or 5?

I had the 5 before I switched carriers and went with the 5c. There is no real difference to me that I can see to be honest with you. The camera is still the same and I have noticed that my battery is a bit better with the 5c than the 5. Other than that if you can find the 5 for a lot cheaper than by all means grab one.

The 5c is pretty much 100% a 5, but with a plastic back (slight battery and camera improvements I think as well). That being said, many people prefer the build and feel of the 5 over the 5c, so a used 5 may actually be more costly...especially now because it was discontinued.

Well the 5c has more frequencies and the TearDown showed some internal improvements as well and I finally was able to handle one and must say it's pretty rock solid

If my i5 was to break and they asked me if they could replace it for FREE with a 5c I would say yes as long as it was either the blue or green one

Re: 5c or 5?

Thanks for replying, I was just wondering whether the polycarbonate finish actually swayed 5c owners to the 5c. When 5c was announced, there were people who slammed Apple for releasing a plastic iPhone. But reading the forums, it actually seemed like it's the excellent finish of polycarbonate and the colour that swayed many to the 5c. We all know the insides of the 5c is the 5, if there isn't a 5c and the choice is between the 5s and the 5, would most 5c owners have gone with the 5s instead?

Definitely like the feel of the 5C over the 5S. That's the whole reason I got the C.

Re: 5c or 5?

I know a friend who's currently looking for a 5 in the second hand market. Even though he knows that the 5 and 5C have the same internals, he prefers the feel of the aluminium. Personally, I agree with him. Colours are nice, but not if I have the option of a glass and metal build. Then again, I'd sooner buy a new 5C than a used 5.

I would go with the 5. Just my personal opinion. Nothing at all wrong the 5C though. It's great to have choices.

Have the 5 and it is a great phone, and if I give it up it will be for the 5s, not that anything wrong with the 5c, I just like the look and feel of the 5.

Re: 5c or 5?

My wife switched from the 5 to the 5c for two reasons.
1. She wanted to go from 16 GB to 32 GB
2. She loved the green one.

They are both great devices. Can't go wrong with either.

I really like the solid feel of the plastic, and the added weight of the 5C over the 5... and the improved battery and FaceTime camera would be worth it to me.

Re: 5c or 5?

I traded in my 5 and got a 5c. Was tired of the cold metal and glass. The 5c just feels right. Same experience, smooth colorful poly.

Re: 5c or 5?

After picking up the 16GB Unlocked for my sister, I would definitely get the 5C, it feels amazing.

I just wish it was cheaper and available in 64GB.
