video recording and photo- seeing faint black bars going across the screen - HELP

Hi,

I bough an iphone 5c about 2 weeks ago. just noticed that when i take videos or photos
there seems to be some faint black bars going across the screen not only when its in video mode, but on the playback as well.
seems to get worse if i focus on a bright light source...
I have attached a photo that distinctly shows the faint black bars.. i was aiming at a tube light above my desk.

is this normal? could you geys try it out yourself and let me know?

Welcome to IMore, sorry about the issues with photo's and video's, have you thought about bringing the phone into Apple to be checked or maybe exchanged.

So you were using a fluorescent light to light your subject? Try doing the same outside, under the sun. I'm wondering if you are seeing some weird artefacts due to shutter speed/AC frequency interference. It's worth checking out, before you bring your phone into Apple.
