iPhone 5 battery problems

Hey everyone, I've bought an used iPhone 5 and everything was fine, until the battery started acting weird. I charged it to 100% and then left the phone in my room, everything turned off, brightness, airdrop etc. However, the battery dropped to 70%! Also when I turn off the phone and then turn it on later the battery life indicator jumps around. The phone also turned itself off yesterday even tho I didn't turn it off and there was some battery life left. I've been using it this night and it dropped to 1%, but it lasted about a hour. The battery goes down rapidly, I don't even use it the whole day and it drains down quickly. What should I do please?

Obviously you need to replace th? battery.

Make a Genius Bar appointment to have the battery replaced.

The battery will cost $80 to replace at the Apple Store. There are reputable repair shops that do it for less.

Run the app Battery Life and see what it says.. good luck.

Thanks for the tip. Nice app. Shows % battery health and cycle count. Few battery apps show that information.
