How do you turn off your recents notifications on a Iphone 5

I have followed the step to turn off but the toggle is not there to turn off.

Welcome to iMore! Are you talking about the notification center that you open by sliding down from the top of the screen? You will need to go into the individual apps in Settings > Notifications > [app name] and disable the toggle labeled "Show in Notification Center".
