How do i restart my phone if i've forgotten my Apple ID password/ Icloud password?

I have forgotten my apple ID/ icloud password, and i'm not able to download anything or update anything at all. I've also consulted a mobile shop and the employee said that if you restart it without knowing your ID password, the phone will be of no use. Thanks.

Restarting only requires the lock code... most people set that up for 4 digits... if you forgot that, it can be fixed - but you need to know the AppleID/Password... and since you don't - you're pretty much out of luck.
