Is anybody but me noticing a huge battery life decrease since installing the 7.1.2 update? Seems like from pulling the phone off the charger at 6:30AM and using it all day for emails, texts and a limited amount of time surfing the web...I used to still be at 70% or so at 7:00pm on my way home from work. Since the update, I'm hitting 10% by 4:00-5:00pm and having to recharge! I am not digging it at all.

What to do?

My iPhone 5 took a big hit on the battery with this update. Did a restore and now battery life is better. Rumour has it that Apple is working on 7.1.3 to address battery drain issues.

My battery life took a big hit also when I updated to 7.1.2. I am not a heavy user and before the update I would be between 70-80% at the end of the day. Now I am between 30-40%. I gave not done a restore as new cause I am hoping an update to fix this will be released or iOS 8 comes out very soon.

If i do a restore as new does it reset the iOS back to the original iOS my iPhone 5 came with?

I have a iPhone 4S as well as an iPad mini retina and I mentioned on both devices an improvement especially on iPhone 4S. Also spotlight search etc. are much faster and responses of the system and apps.

Yup.

This version blows. Unplugged my phone an hour ago. Sent a couple of texts and one email and have been browsing iMore for the past ten minutes and it is already at 75%. :(

The other day I unplugged it at 10 am and by 4 pm I noticed that my battery had drained to 2%. Ugh. I used to mainly use my mophie whenever I would leave the house but I need it all the time now.

Can't wait for the 7.1.3 fix.

Mine remained about the same. If I have "Reduce Transparency" toggled off, it seems I get about 1 hour less per charge. I keep that on some to make the wallpapers look good. But 7.1.2 itself did not seem to change anything.

My battery really took a big hit with this update. Never has a problem with battery issues with previous updates. Please fix this a.s.a.p.!
