Since I dropped my iPhone 5 from only a foot of my foot stool, I have now noticed I have this little purple spec in my pictures. Front camera is ok.
I have opened my phone due to the fact it's out of warranty and also I am starting to get into fixing iPhones. The main reason for this thread is advice on wether it's the actual camera that's now faulty or possibly the rear sapphire lens. I know there isn't any dust or debris on the camera lens or sapphire case lens.
What I find strange is that it's purple colour and that I know sapphire has been known to cause purple reflections from light. The spec has a slight circle in the middle and that shows what colour the object is behind it when taking a picture. Also when I pointed a bright light into the camera the spec then showed a shadow when I pointed the light from different angles.
I believe this gives argument for it either being the camera part or sapphire lens. Before I order the part I would like some opinions please.
I have attached for some pictures.
Many Thanks
