Received a used iphone 5 with issues but it is still under warranty ... What to do??

So ...

A good friend if mine gave me an iphone 5 that he received from his friend. The phone has some significant issues (wifi, Bluetooth, Siri, and phone speaker phone dont work). Cell phone calls and data works. I've been using the phone as a secondary phone for the past few weeks. Out of curiosity I checked the warranty status of phone and it turns out it is covered under apples limited warranty until July 11/14.

I want to take it into a store but I am wondering if they will even believe my story of receiving a second phone with all of these issues. Should I give it a try anyways??

Yes, give it a try. They will either fix or replace the device or they won't.

I had an iPhone 5 that I bought off Craigslist. After I used it awhile it developed a problem. Of course I had no receipt or other proof of purchase. I took it to the Apple store, and they used the IMEI I believe to show it was still under warranty. I walked out with a replacement. No muss, no fuss.
