I just wanna ask,

i read some article that
it's good to:
use phone until almost 0% then charge it to full, is this ok?

speaking of charging, i also read that it's ok to charge your phone
over night, some says it will affects battery life. anyone
can confirm? coz i really like charging overnight.

and lastly, does it effect when the iphone is in casing
while charging?

1. It is also good if once very now and then let your phone battery die and then recharge.

2. Overnight is what I have been doing for 9 months now and the battery life is same as it was right out of box. I have a iPhone 4 but you will not have any problems with the 5 if you charge overnight.

3. Case does not affect charging. It's the same with or without.

Enjoy your new iPhone. You will just love it.

i know right, i will have my phone this coming weekends.
thank you for a fast reply.

Just a follow up question.

in android, to get a the paid app/games
we download the games/apps via internet
so it has an extension of .apk
then we transfer it to our device and use a file
manager to install. since i'm switchin to iphone.

what is the way to do that? to get paid apps or games for free.

and....

i'm will try to jailbreak my device. i was able to root
my galaxy tab so i think i can handle,

if i can follow the tutorials in youtube correctly
will i avoid being bricked? and i read that bricking my device
is IMPOSSIBLE? since it's for advance users.

and last, will jailbreaking my device will reduce my battery life?
given that i will only change themes in my device? and some few tweaks
like SB settings?

Thank you :D

I have never fallen into these charging cycle claims...I just charge mine when i need to or when it's convenient. Mine stays connected almost all day tethered, but rarely on the weekends, and i have never had any of my iPhones return less than great battery life. I'm sure there are some benefits to doing the charge cycles and what not, but I've never had to personally, and probably never will.

I generally charge my phone when it needs charged. I do charge it overnight at times, as I have a sleep cycle alarm clock that requires my phone to be plugged in. But there are also times I try to run the battery down as far as I can. It usually doesn't hurt to do that once in a while, but aside from that--charge as much as you like.

I put it on my charger overnight no matter how full the battery is. And during the day I
just charge it whenever I can. All these chargers lying around, might as well charge
the phone.

OK we do not support piracy here, which is what getting paid apps and games for free is. No one here will assist you with that.

Jailbreaking itself doesn't hurt your battery life per se, but some tweaks you install may.

Yeah, what Laelipoo said about apps & piracy. You want apps? Get them from the app store - or jailbreak, and use Cydia for jailbreak apps. iMore does not support app piracy. See the forum rules for more details. http://forums.imore.com/faq.php?faq=tipb_forum_rules#faq_imorerules

Totally agree. My battery life is great... and I have only run it down completely once since October, and that was because I forgot to charge it before heading out for the evening. Frankly, I don’t have time to bother with micro-managing my iPhone charging cycles, etc... charge it at night, and go all day the next day...

If you read the battery care it's actually better to not let it go dead charge as often as you like apple suggests letting it die about once a month to recalibrate the meter on screen. These batteries will not have a memory I charge mine every night without about 45-50 percent left and my batterie life is awesome!

Battery loses 20% of its life at/after 400 charge cycles. A charge cycle is charging below 40% battery life. When this happens it will still show charged to 100%. I used a battery jailbreak app. My iPhone 4 after 2 years was only charging to a 81% but apple was showing 100%.

Themes really don't have that much affect on battery life...it's when you start getting into widgets and anything animated that you start seeing real differences (which is why i avoid them like the plague).

I've owned an iPhone 5 for a little over a month. Battery life is great, but I charge it every night before going to bed. Sometimes I have to charge it sooner if I play a lot of Angry Birds Star Wars :p or use my 4G heavily, but that's how I expected it to be.
