    Default Traveling to England

Will be going to London beginning of the year and wanting to figure out if I should pay for my VZW global plan at $25/100 mb data or get a prepaid sim. I just want to be able to use my phone if I need too not planning on going crazy like I would here :-) just want to be able to look up a location or number if I need it. Any suggestions?

I would get a burn phone in London. Customers ask me this all the time, but the data plans are so expensive, I wouldn't feel right personally off of making money from a naive customer. So I usually just tell them to buy a burn phone in said country and use that.

I agree. Get a cheap android phone with a prepaid SIM when you get over there. You can pick up those cheap android smartphones for $30 or less.

I do have an iPhone 5. That's what I thought was I could get a prepaid sim there and pop it in. Any carrier suggestions?

You will have way more options in England than in the US for prepaid. Some come with data and some don't. Check out our article where we discussed this issue.

Vodafone. Verizon Wireless is part owned by them... being a Verizon customer, you might get better customer service from them... emphasis on might...

The best deal in the UK for data would be on the 3 network. Their pay as you go sim only deal is 15 pounds a month with UNLIMITED data & 300 minutes a month.
