Lightning car charger

Do they sell a real car charger yet ?

I don't want to have to use my data cable in my car.

I hate 2 piece chargers.

This is a licensed one from Belkin. You can however look up cheaper alternatives (may be unlicensed).

Supposedly, the "unlicensed" cables won't work because there is some chip in the actual connector for authenticity purposes. Not sure if this is true or not (I also read that some did a tear down of the cable and that the chip can easily be worked around).

I just bought a cable on e-bay for $7.99. I will report back, just for my car with the cigarette lighter USB adapter I have.

I don't like those cheap chargers, it's not a cheap phone, why get a cheap charger...

Get a 2 amp USB charger and use the OEM lighting cable.

Using unlicensed cords, can be dangerous and half the time, will end up "NOT" working.

The weirdest thing has happened to me. My official cable has stopped working. I've tried many power sources and nothings working. My unofficial one however works fine... Lets figure this one out guys maybe apples banned my official cable from dispensing power

Take the cable to an Apple store. They'll probably give you another one.
