LTE on / no LTE coverage and battery life

Until yesterday I'd had LTE on in settings even though we have no LTE coverage in the area. My battery life has been as good or better than my 4. Should I just leave LTE on or does that affect battery life (when there's no LTE coverage)?

It will only effect battery life if you are in a LTE area that isn't that strong and your iPhone is constantly switching between 3/4G and LTE again. If you don't have LTE in your area yet, you don't have to worry about this. I leave LTE on even though LTE coverage is still 2 miles away from my house and my battery life is great.
