Connecting to a pc

It's my first I -anything.
When I connect to a PC, I cannot move any music or movie files. Do I have to have the iTunes software installed? Will the iPhone accept my common mp3's?

Yes, you need to use iTunes to get music onto your phone. Your basic common mp3 files will work, you just need to import them into iTunes. It's pretty easy once you have iTunes installed.

I guess it's time for the next question. How do I move a file from iTunes to my phone? I don't see a drag and drop option.

PC ??? Why would you have one of those....

There is no drag and drop. You just select the music/movies/books that you want to add in iTunes and then sync it all to your phone.

Plug in the iphone. It will appear at the left of itunes. Select your iPhone on the left, select music at the top, choose which music you want to load, press the sync button at the bottom right.
