Thanks! Now, can anyone tell me for landscape shots, is there a certain way to hold the phone as far as volume buttons top or volume bottom? Does it matter?

Personal preference. I like the volume buttons on the top incase I want to use the buttons to activate the shutter. You can use either the volume up or down button. But you may get a little bit of movement out of your phone when you're depressing the buttons.

There is an article on the iMore main page about this but in order to get the best results when taking a Pano, you need to imagine that the camera of the iPhone is on a pole and all youre doing is turning the pole. Basically, the iPhone should swivel on the cameras axis. Here is a link to the article:
