Seems Apple is listening to those complaints about iPhone 5's being damaged in the box.

Apparently, Apple has taken the so called "Scuffgate" thing to heart and demanded better quality control from Foxconn. Of course Foxconn in turn demanded better QC from their workers.... and it's lead to QC inspectors getting beat up and a strike in Zhengzhou. For better or for worse, you can't say Apple doesn't listen to their customers.

Seems like a never ending cycle of suffering for these people. We the phones, We demand perfection, we want cheaper prices, and then the places where they are made get slammed by the demand, and people
Have to work longer hours without making more.

I know other companies have things made in places like this, but it seems like you don't hear much about them.

You'd think a $400 billion company could. Although, even of they did, there's no guarantee that money would come anywhere near the workers paychecks.

You know that Foxconn is not Apple, right?

They are an electronics assembly company that bid on the work of assembling iPhones, like a number of others did as well. Though Apple requires their suppliers to meet very strict standards, in the end, they are still an independent company and not Apple.

Apple pays for its products to get built. Apple doesn't own the company...... It's not up to them to give them raises. Its a company that makes products for Apple....
