No video over new connector

Just a heads up to anyone who uses there current iphone with a another device like an in dash dvd player. The new connector does not transmit video. You may be able to over bluetooth but the cable does not. I did a quick search and didnt find this posted, sorry if i missed it.

Yup...no video, and no iPod controls over the adaptor.

i didnt know the ipod controls were out to. i probably wont get a new one until either my 4 dies or this is remedied.

I know somebody with a car that has full ipod / iphone control and they didn't even notice this. Why? Because they use bluetooth instead of a cable. You can still charge the phone and control it through bluetooth on most of these devices... As long as your device has bluetooth connectivity

I will say it again, technology changes.

No UI controls output to an on screen display** i can still control my iphone 5 via my steering wheel and indash controls when its hooked up via usb to my car. The ipod UI is not output, so those with a touch screen media player in their car cannot use it to control the i5.

What can the new dock support? I tried searching google but most of the links were before the actual release of the phone. I'm guessing it can handle charging, data, & digital audio. I thought the last function was digital video.
