Well it appears that the 10pm on line orders of the Iphone5 via apple.com for next day pick up. Does not start until 10PM pst.

I realized that also, kept trying to hit that "pick up at store option" that just didn't want to light up.
The article on imore said est.

I was wondering what's going on too. I can't click "pick up" either. I totally missed the whole 10 pm pst, not est lol.

Well yea the articles all say est. are we sure it's supposed to say pst?

Don't know, I live in pst so figured it meant local time, since I tried it at 10est and it didn't work

Didn't work for me. It just won't let u check the box for in store pickup
10pm PST since I am in California.

Ugh long night apple kept me out if the loop about it being 10pm on the west coast in order to do personal pick up after j placed an order and could click the damn pick up button I canceled it over the phone and waited another 2 hours and it actually worked the only store that had any is an hour or so away but I can deal considering.

I just picked mine up that was awesome way better than waiting in any line or the pre orders. Not too bad considering I canceled my preorder and didn't wait in line on day 1 there are some people who preordered on day 1 and still don't have their devices. that is a black 64 gig on Verizon BTW!

Like I said before, no luck on the Apple site but I did pick 1 up from Radio Shack about 20min ago😊

Awesome I'm glad things are looking up for people in this thread. On another ball busting note the sim is attached to another number so calls won't work on mine until 7am tomorrow but at least I can set everything up can't complain.

Thanks on the radio shack tip. Got my 32gb on Verizon from there a couple off hours ago in San Diego. Phone is sweet. Glad to be back on iOS

The 10 pm (eastern) online reservation worked for my daughter in NY. (Thank God!) She woke up sick launch morning and wasn't able to stand in line as she'd planned, but now she can just stop by the Apple store after work and pick up her new phone.

Tried last night at 10EST, no luck. Tried again at 10:15CST and found a couple of different colors and sizes available at 1-2 stores in Chicago area. Ordered 1 for pick-up for wife today. Received mine on Friday pre-order from Apple, should have ordered both then. At least didn't have to wait the 3-4 weeks thanks to store pre-order option.

I talked to a guy at the Apple store yesterday... he said it's supposed to be 10 pm local time. Basically it's after the stores close. At that point, Apple has an accurate report of store inventory and, after saving X number of each model for warranty replacements, the remaining phones are then put up for purchase/pickup the next day. Maybe there are a few glitches since this just started this week. He said that they sell quite a few each day this way.
