This is mostly FB, Instagram, & texting. I did a restore from my 4S that was running iOS 6.

after 5 complete battery cycles I've finally got decent battery results.

This is on moderate to heavy usage: 5 push email accounts set on 15 min refresh intervals, Instagram, Twitter, Siri, camera, groupme, sportacular, yahoo ff safari/youtube

I restored from my ip4, the battery cycle was terrible the first few days.

My battery life is not good. I rarely use it during the day except to check texts and to respond - maybe 3-5 throughout the day. It is off the charger from 7 AM to 5 PM and I have about 20% battery life by 5 PM. Does anyone else have this problem? Wondering if I should take it back and get a different one.

I'm jealous. I'm losing about 20 percent an hour mostly using twitter, email, and surfing and I'm in a strong LTE signal area.

Anyone have bad battery life that setup there iPhone 5 as new ?
If you restored from any sort of backup before thinking you have issues I would try restore and setup as new

My iPhone battery life is okay with LTE on it lasted only four hours but with it off to get 8 to 10

Mine it's better now. Yesterday I got 15 hours and 21 min standby and usage 7 hours and 45 min. I let it drain completely last night. Lets see how it goes today.

I haven't charged my phone since Wednesday night. I've been on and off Wifi and LTE.

1st night terrible - lost about half its battery life just sitting on my desk overnight.

I get a fairly weak ATT signal at home - 1 or 2 bars. I have no problem making calls and don't drop calls either.

I get only 4G at home. Turned LTE off and 2nd night only lost maybe 5 percent of battery life. Looks like I need to keep LTE off when home. That appears to me to be the big drain on my phone - trying to get LTE when there is none. I am only about a mile from an LTE service area so maybe they will upgrade near me soon.

This is my first iPhone so obviously mine is set up as new, but battery life so for has been terrible. For texting, surfing, email over a good signal LTE I'm looking at 3.5 to 4 hours of usage.

One discovery that I've made re: battery life seems to have to do with resetting network settings. Since I did that, my battery is still not perfect, but seems to be much better.

Go to Settings / General / Reset and click the middle options Reset Network Settings.

you have to Drain it all the way down...I've done this 4Days Straight. It will help optimize the Batt....My Batt life is Decent to good... I can't complain...I'm always on the thing. Read Apple.Com article on Battery life

That's amazing.... I'm wondering if you are doing anything different than I am? Where do you have your brightness setting at and how many emails do you have and do you have push on?
Any other tips you can give us. I consider my battery life pretty good but never have gotten for than a day out of it.
