Verizon in Rochester, NY:
LTE: 0.00 up, 0.07 down. Not a typo. (Have screenshot, not uploading easily from iPhone)
1.36 up, 0.12 down
3.15 up, 0.16 down

Wi-Fi: 19.5 up, 15.2 down

The phone can do it (not like some of yours can!), but LTE in this town can't. Half the time, nothing loads on LTE, have to disable in settings to drop to 3G and at least load something. VZW LTE iPad shares similar fate, but iPhone 5 drops LTE to a new low.

Rocket_Girl -- I'm in Rochester too and am consistently seeing close to 20 Mbps down and almost the same up...I'd take the phone back to Apple at Eastview (they have tons of replacements). Sounds like you have a bad radio in there.

Hope that helps.

2 miles? Ouch. That's tough. I'm luckily enough to have it at my house. All those late night tests on my above posts are from my residence.

LOL, I know, it's killing me! My location is in between two areas that have AT&T LTE. One location is 2 miles away, the other is 5. My local AT&T store said that it is coming soon, though. Therefore I'll just have to continue to use WiFi while at home until then.

i think the carriers really over-marketed the whole LTE network. the coverage maps are a plain lie, at least for me in Toronto. LTE is very much in its infancy. it really isn't a reason to upgrade your phone, it's more like an added bonus. LTE speed and coverage is so inconsistent even in areas that show it has full coverage. I don't mind though because Telus 3G speeds are very good; for me usually around 5-18 down. So when i do get LTE i'm glad but right now it's no big deal. I'm sure it'll get better over time but they shouldn't market it so confidently as they do.

I think there are a lot more people using AT&T's LTE network now, however, the speed is still pretty good for the time that I tested it yesterday.

Wifi at Home

I have gotten better LTE results, up to 18 Mbps. Seems to be a little busy around here right now :)
