I went through a phase on my iPhone 4 of only having folders in the dock leaving a full background image in show.

Changed during the week and sticking with this layout for now.

Same here; I had issues with my 4's battery, so, if it was a software-based problem, I didn't want to transfer to my 5.

Here's mine. I also choose to go pretty minimalistic, I don't like a lot of home screens or clutter. The apps I use the most on the first screen and in the dock folder so I can enjoy my backgrounds on this amazing display
